Maat Astro is a small, independent site for tarot, natal charts and the zodiac, built for reflection rather than prediction.
Why Maat
In ancient Egypt, Maat was both a principle and a goddess, standing for truth, justice, balance and the order of the cosmos. Her symbol is a single ostrich feather. In Egyptian funerary texts, the heart is weighed against it. Maat is still honored today in Kemetic religious practice.
We use her name and feather with respect, as a reminder to be truthful and balanced, not as a claim to religious authority. Maat Astro is not affiliated with any religious organization.
What you’ll find here
- Tarot: a yes-or-no reading, love and three-card readings, and a guide to all 78 cards with their upright and reversed meanings.
- Natal Chart: the positions of the Sun, Moon and planets at the moment of birth, with their signs, degrees and houses.
- Zodiac Signs: a guide to the twelve signs of the tropical zodiac.
Our approach
- Truth. We show what is actually calculated and say plainly what isn’t. Planet positions are tested against NASA JPL Horizons, a standard astronomical reference; the details are on the Natal Chart page.
- Privacy by design. We never send your tarot question anywhere, and your natal chart is calculated in your browser. The only thing you type that we send to our server is the text of a place search.
- Balance. Tarot and astrology here are tools for self-reflection and personal insight, never a substitute for professional advice.
